This strategy is most popular on the Airbnb platform and normally works in areas where there are many tourists or business travellers. This is primarily a cashflow strategy but depending on the area could be combined with capital growth.

Equity Partnerships in High Rise Residential Developments

With this strategy you buy shares in the actual development. Shares may start from as low as R100 000 per share. You become a shareholder in the development. Your shares may increase in value over time, plus you receive quarterly pay outs in the form of dividends, from the rental income received in the building.

Offshore Property Investment Opportunities

This strategy may follow any of the above strategies. The objective is to have exposure outside of South Africa over and above your local portfolio. You normally start this strategy after you have some exposure in South Africa already. Some considerations include proper due diligence on the offshore partner and an investment in countries with relatively stable currencies.

Prince Abuh and Bongani Makofane are the Co-Founders and Directors of Sourcemarts Property.

Whilst respectively growing their own property investment portfolios, Prince and Bongani formed Sourcemarts Property to help South Africans start and grow their very own property investment portfolios. They believe property investing should form part of any wealth strategy to ensure a diversified portfolio across asset classes.

Prince  is the director of Sourcemarts Property. This is a home buying, home selling, and property investment platform. He has also facilitated various branding projects nationally and internationally. He builds, speaks and advises on brand sustainability and related matters. Prince has many years in brand development space. His special area of interest is in business transformation and the development and the use of digital technology in business planning and strategy. This spans projects all over  Africa, Europe, and Asia. 

Bongani is a property investment mentor and a property Practitioner. He holds the designation of BA Marketing Degree from the Tshwane University of Technology.

Both Prince and Bongani have spent years building a property investment network, which allows them to tap into resources across the real estate industry. Through this property investment joint venture, Prince and Bongani share all their knowledge, resources and network as part of the offering.
